PREMIER AGAPI BOAT CLUB OPEN DAYS

Discover the pleasures of high-end performance boating at a Premier Agapi Boat Club Open Day on Wednesday 26th or Thursday 27th August at Premier’s Swanwick Marina.

Premier Marinas, the UK’s leading marina group, has partnered with Agapi Boat Club to create a smarter way for UK boaters to enjoy all the pleasures of performance boating - at a fraction of the cost of traditional ownership.

The open days will be conducted by appointment during which Premier will present its prestigious subscription boat club model and a variety of membership styles to allow prospective members to select a fee plan to reflect their boat brand/model choice, level of usage and service requirements – with pay as you go options on offer.

Premier will also present the first arrivals into the Club’s growing fleet including, the award-winning Agapi 950. Designed in Sweden and built to a high specification, this boat is supremely seaworthy and effortlessly delivers a thrilling and reliable experience. Add versatility, and extraordinary stability in the water, and you’ve comfort for 4 below deck with socialising for up to 8 guests on deck.

At 7.8 metres, and with a top speed of 50 knots, the Club’s Agapi 800 will also be available to view and with its easy handling this RIB is perfect for family trips, water sports and weekends away.

Also primed for inspection will be the Club’s latest acquisition, the Ring 680, a quality high performance RIB which at 6.8m, and with a top speed of 40 knots, lends itself to fun days out for up to 5 passengers.  Further brands and models are planned to add to the Club’s range in the coming months including an environmentally friendly e-powered boat that ticks all the boxes for speed, distance and sustainability.

The alignment of Premier Marinas with the Agapi Boat Club, an established club, with a network of 13 Centres in Europe creates a powerful and unique proposition for the new Club especially when access to the overseas clubs is coupled with use of Premier’s prestigious marinas at Chichester, Southsea, Port Solent, Gosport and Swanwick Marina on the Hamble.

Mr William Howden who has a deeply-rooted passion for boating and is also the first member to sign up to the Premier Agapi Boat Club, had this to say: “I was already attending the British Motor Yacht Show, looking to buy a boat for myself and my family. The Premier Agapi Boat Club came up as an option and it seemed the ideal way to spend a year, getting out on the water with the family, seeing how we got on and how much time we might want to spend on a boat”.

“I have been on boats all my life, having represented GB at the Olympics in 2008 and participated in the America’s Cup – but now with a son, it’s nice to get the family involved. The Agapi 950 is an exciting model but I am also interested in the other boats planned for the range – especially the upcoming electric model which interests me for local trips.”

Commenting on the new partnership with the Agapi Boat Club, Mark Williams, Premier’s Club Manager said: “The attraction of boating as a pastime far exceeds actual participation rates which suggests that many people are put off by the cost of owning a boat and acquiring the competency to go boating safely. The boat club comfortably addresses all these issues.”
