Appeals Director and friend of the Bowler family, Neil Westbrook, is justifiably proud of what the charity has achieved, but has never lost sight of how it all started. “Rich was a terrific lad and we’d turn the clocks back in a heartbeat if we could. Sadly, that’s not possible, but it is of some comfort to know that he inspired fundraising that has since benefited thousands, and helped many families avoid similar tragedies.”
The on-line world can be an amazing place; research, learning new skills, games, videos, friendships and organising
activities to name but a few! It can enrich our children’s lives greatly but like anything we enjoy, it brings associated risks. We want to raise awareness of the possible dangers our children face
and provide a few suggestions to help reduce those risks.

Cllr Mason sets his goals for the city to achieve 1 million lbs lost, 1 million miles walked and 1 million hours
volunteered. "As the name of the campaign suggests, this is not about drastically altering your life but about making small changes, which we know can make a big difference. I also wanted to include
a volunteering element as I'm a passionate volunteer and see how much of an impact it has on organisations. Many places wouldn't be able to run without volunteers. At the end of my year as Lord Mayor
I'm really hoping to have made a lasting change for the city, and helped it to be a healthier, better place to live."
